Owen Bennet-Jones has extensive experience of reporting for the BBC from Pakistan, where he served as the resident correspondent. He has also been a presenter of many programs on the BBC World Service as well as a resident foreign correspondent in Bucharest, Geneva, Hanoi and Beirut. He has been assigned numerous other global assignments for the BBC television and radio and has anchored the Newshour for the BBC World Service and for the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in the United States. Owen has covered a number of events of great importance worldwide and is considered to be one of the finest TV and Radio journalist of his generation. His history of Pakistan, Pakistan: Eye of the Storm (2002), went into a third edition in 2010.
